The integrated UHF RFID reader combines a long-range UHF RFID reader and a long-range RFID reader antenna into one device so that no external RFID antenna is required. If a customer needs an extra RFID antenna, the integrated UHF RFID reader can support up to one additional external RFID antenna.
The integrated UHF RFID reader is great for a low-cost solution and ease of implementation. However, because integrated RFID readers can only support a maximum of two antennas, the coverage area for reading RFID tags is limited. In order to solve this problem, we developed the non-integrated UHF RFID reader does not have an RFID antenna built-in. For different RFID applications, we developed multiple external antennas, long-range RFID readers able to connect RFID antennas from 2 to 48. The non-integrated UHF RFID reader will be more expensive than one using an integrated UHF RFID reader. However, the capability of having multiple RFID antennas greatly increases the amount of area it can cover. Additionally, because there is no antenna built-in, non-integrated readers give the user the flexibility to choose which antenna combinations will work best — from low gain proximity antennas to high gain far-field antennas.
RFID Handheld Readers offer consistency in high performance as well as the functionality needed to jumpstart a successful RFID system. An RFID Reader is a radio frequency transmitter and receiver that can read and write information to an RFID tag. Handheld RFID readers are a great option for reading tags on the go and where the mobility of the reader is necessary. Handheld readers have integrated antennas, and a display (there are a few exceptions) for easy operation and immediate interaction with the data. Handhelds are usually utilized for inventory taking and are also great for tag programming.
RFID Readers can also be fixed or portable. Portable, or mobile, RFID readers can be installed or carried almost anywhere.
